Mission Statement
The Coeur d’Alene Tribe Early Childhood Learning Center is committed to ensuring
educational, family, health, disability and safety services that meet the needs
of participating children and their families.

Vision

ECLC Programs
Head Start - is a national preschool program designed to
meet the needs of children ages 3-5 years of age. Head Start serves 3-5 year olds
in a center-based program option.
Early Head Start - is a national program designed for children
and families prenatal to age 3. Early Head Start offers two program options: center-based,
and prenatal services (serves 6 prenatal families). Whichever program you choose,
you will be receiving the same high-quality standards across the board for your
children and family.
EHS and HS - provide comprehensive developmental services
in the areas of education, health, nutrition and social/emotional needs of the children,
as well as provide support services for families based on their individual needs
First Steps - First Steps is an early intervention program
which serves children birth to age six. The following services are provided:
- Developmental tracking-helps you monitor the physical,
social, and mental development of your child.
- Assessment services-provides professional diagnostic services
in the areas of speech, language, health, hearing, motor skills, and intellectual
development.
- Intervention services-provides teachers, nurses, physical
and occupational therapists, speech/language pathologist and service coordinators
for children with diagnosed disabilities.
Before and After School Care - is a fee for service implemented
to provide full day, full year services throughout the year. A sliding scale is
available for enrolled Tribal members based on household income verification. Some
parents may qualify for ICCP and/or CCDF, which would subsidize the cost of your
Before and After School Care.
